Since then, she has had hits with films such as Main Hoon, Vivah, Athidhi (Telugu) and has bagged awards for everything from her fashion sense to her acting ability. Amrita's "Shortkut: The Con is On" released recently and she will next be seen in a cameo for the film "Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai".

And now for the best news...we have an exclusive message from Miss Rao herself! Dear Fans, Thank you for all your love and support ! I am overwhelmed with the positive response and feedback for my latest movie " Welcome to Sajjanpur ". The Indian Media has been kind enough to give it a 3 & 4 star rating unanimously! With theatres running HOUSE FULL ! all across India, it feels great!! that everybody is enjoying Shyam Benegal's attempt at Comedy :) The movie is really special to me, a lovely script to begin with, and although its an Indian look, its the very first time I play a proper rural village character, very unlike Vivah where Poonam was a small town girl but well educated and acquainted with the computer!
